I help individuals and couples have fulfilling, intimate relationships. I coach clients to lead lives of authentic transparency by accepting and integrating their true sexual nature. Our sexuality is influenced by biology and environment. It starts at conception and evolves over the course of a lifetime. In a society where sex education is frequently prohibited, most of us grow up believing the myths we have been given. Through sexual integrity coaching I will help you understand the science of sexuality and the motivations behind your sexual desires, thoughts, and behaviors.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and certified sex therapist with over 35 years experience treating sexual disorders. I help clients achieve more intimate relationships and sexually fulfilling experiences. I have a doctorate degree in clinical sexology and work from a science model. I honor the codes of ethics of the National Association of Social Workers and The American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists.
I see adult individuals and couples. Most of my clients are men (straight, bi, gay, trans). I rarely work with women unless I am seeing her with her male partner. Some of my clients have diagnosable sexual disorders and some are simply learning new ways to achieve more fulfilling sexual and intimate relationships. Some believe their lives are sexually out of control and are seeking new ways to manage their erotic thoughts and behaviors. While many of my clients desire monogamous relationships, I also work with clients who identify as open or poly.

Coaching is an interactive experience with a specific desired outcome. It can be provided face to face in an office or virtually by video or voice call. We identify your goals and I help you navigate the path to achieve them.
I am licensed and insured. What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions. However, I have an ethical and legal obligation to report any threats of harm to self or others. This includes threats of suicide, homicide, rape, or child abuse.
The time that your coaching process will take depends on the complexity of your goals and your commitment and openness to your process. My initial consultation is for 90 minutes with follow up sessions of 45 or 90 minutes. Some of my clients want to be seen multiple times and some want a one time consultation.
As explained in my profile, I am also a licensed therapist and actively see psychotherapy clients. In psychotherapy there is a diagnosable mental illness or addiction we are trying to treat. Coaching is more educationally focused. Therefore, it is not regulated as a healthcare service. In my role as coach I use my knowledge and training as a therapist to help you understand the psychological dynamics of your thoughts and desires. If necessary, we can shift to a psychotherapy model or I can help you locate a psychotherapist in your community. Most of my clients find the coaching model is right for them.
Absolutely! Sexual orientation and gender identity are complex concepts. Same sex attraction and variations in gender expression have existed in all cultures throughout world history. Some cultures have welcomed and encouraged free expression of sexual and gender identity while others have been oppressive and inhumane.
Yes. Most of my clients desire monogamy, but some of my clients are in open relationships and identify as swingers, throuples, or poly. These are also legitimate models for sexual relationships.
My clients come from varying religious traditions. I am respectful of all faiths, but I work from a science model. While sexuality is frequently filtered through religion, the science of sexuality is consistent across all faiths and cultures. I will present you with options and you must determine which ones are right for you based on your own values and readiness for change.
